Budget notes

The price is a stack, not one number

The big low price in an advertisement may cover only the first month, or only the visit. Add up the full cost line by line.

What the price check found

The price pages of six national online weight-care services were checked on September 26, 2026.

Their usual monthly membership fee ran from $19.99 to $149, and the medicine was normally charged on top.

On those same pages, a single visit paid without insurance cost $38 to $129.

On September 26, 2026, three direct-to-consumer lab companies, the kind you can order blood work from yourself, were checked.

They listed common single tests, such as a blood count or a cholesterol test, at around $29 to $59.

Packages of several tests ran from about $75 to $189, and the packages did not all hold the same tests.

These are advertised prices, shown here to explain how costs are usually split up. Your own price may be different, so ask for it in writing.

Treat every quote as dated

Many of the cash prices and savings cards checked for this guide said they end on December 31, 2026.

So a price you are quoted this autumn may change in January.

Ask what the normal monthly total will be once any trial price ends.
